I like how the department has the flexibility to engage different departments/product groups within TD bank. We are given a big lake of demograhpic/customer data and we are able to generate geospatial analytics to show capabilities which may not be seen before on conventional statistics and dashboard programs.
I would really only say the downside is that I have to leave!
My manager has been very patient with me throughout the four months I've spent here at TD. He taught me the fundamentals of business geography and how it is practically applied to branch & network planning ( a department working closely with us) and other product groups.
It is very non-competitive, and everyone is very results driven and looking out for each other constantly. There are constant meetings weekly with the seniors to keep tab of the work progress.
As long as you demonstrate adequate technical ability and combine it with creative thinking and willingness to learn and engage, you have the three big traits of any TD employee.
