The best thing about this internship was that there was no micromanagement and you were always surrounded with people with great professional goals and even better work ethics. Working for TD I was able to work with experts in the field of cyber security and it has taught me a great deal about how cyber security is managed in one of Canada's largest banks. As a young graduate and someone with a lot of interest in IT I could not have asked for a better start then doing this internship with TD.
I feel like there should be a better training setup for the tools we use in our jobs, as a university student coming into work environment is challenging since you don't get that much exposure to technical hands-on work so perhaps getting some training or guidance at the start of your co-op term would allow better understanding. Since TD is such a large organization sometimes its difficult to grasp the whole bigger picture and though we did have town halls , weekly and monthly team meetings it was still hard to understand the end to end results so that was something I didn't like about my internship.
