I enjoyed networking with the individuals within RBC. This is extremely helpful as a business student finishing up school shortly. I enjoyed learning new things in a completely new industry, that will help me in getting a job post-graduation.
My least favorite part of my co-op was that it often interfered with my other school work. It would have been difficult to be doing a full-time co-op as well as going to school for 4 classes. Luckily, I only had to do one class with my co-op.
This co-op was an amazing learning experience, however, with the turnover of our ABM, it was difficult at times to seek guidance/help. Our community manager was an excellent help in this transition, however, it was not her role to look over my as a co-op student.
RBC's organizational culture is extremely friendly and open. All staff were extremely helpful and pleasant, which made me feel included and welcome at all times. I had excellent mentors who trained me well.
RBC is a wonderful organization to work for, that allowed me to put my school learned skills to test. At RBC, I was able to learn new skills, and network with tremendous colleagues. Overall, this was a wonderful experience that has given me a competitive edge over others coming out of school. This work environment fosters happiness and ongoing learning, which is all I could ask for in a job.
