I was working as a Client Advisor being the first point of contact for clients! I have always loved to work with people, so the CA role fit me perfectly. There is no shortage of unique day-to-day activities. Every day was spent learning something new and acquiring new knowledge. Everyone that I worked with is supportive and easy to get along with so I felt comfortable coming to work right away. I have a very long list as to the how and why I would recommend RBC to other students!
The training program is outdated in some areas. There are practices and policies that have changed and are no longer relevant. It wasn't hard to find the correct answer, you learn very quickly on the job. It would have been nice to see more update policies and practices so there is no confusion.
Management worked great together. It didn't matter who I talked to, they would both be on the same page. They knew all the internal workings, they were always on the same page. I never had to worry about being told one thing and then another, or having to repeat anything important to a manager.
The office culture was fantastic! They are always helping each other out and engaging in activities outside of work. No one is ever left out of events or happenings at work. Everyone was always curious and engaging about each other. There was no drama or problems amongst the staff.
Be open to change and growth. RBC is always evolving to better serve their clients. You should always be open minded and ready to learn. Every day is a new day and comes with many challenges. This is not an easy job, so don't expect it to be simple.
