My co-op was long (a bit over 1 year) so I got to do many many different things while i was with Imperial Oil. These things included supporting the Technical group with identified problems or opportunities, trouble shooting potential solutions, recommending the optimum solution, and progressing it through implementation. Also analyzing and reporting energy consumption to the business team - this was probably my favourite thing (best thing about my co-op). Its good how Imperial lets their interns work in different departments and get a look at different sides of the company.
Maybe host a few intern "get togethers" so that we have the chance to bond before working together.
Everyone was always busy with work, working hard and getting things done.
Alberta is a great place to do a co-op for Engineering students. There are many more opportunities and jobs there.
