Was okay

Very helpful
What did you like best about your internship/co-op? What type of work were you doing?

My role was primarily focused on:

a) a singular large project: intended to give me a tangible output that I could spearhead from start to finish

The project was the creation of a site-wide health and safety Sharepoint website to house all H&S related information and documentation

b) ad-hoc and day-to-day H&S activities

These increased my familiarity with H&S as an area and allowed me to gain a broad understanding of the field.

Common tasks included workplace tours, document validation/review, attending committee meetings and making H&S related communications materials

My favourite part of the role was having the finished website as something that I could own and showcase to the rest of the organization. It made me feel accomplished, valued and purposeful

What did you like least about your internship/co-op?

My least favourite part of the role was the separation between myself and the other engineers ( the ratio to engineering co-ops and other co-ops within my facility was 10:2) The senior engineering staff also seemed less interested in getting to know me because of their biased view towards H&S (no one really likes it)

Manager experience

Did your manager(s) provide you with support and coaching to be effective in your role?
Did you receive clear and actionable feedback from your manager(s) during your work term?
Did you feel comfortable asking your manager(s) questions, when needed?

Innovative company culture, always something new and exciting happening, very results focused and an office filled with intelligent people. Seating arrangements in the older offices are a bit dull but remodeled and new facilities are truly a step up!
