CHUM Radio was a challenging co-op for me. Although I was interested in radio at the time, I didn’t realize how hard the work is on the back end. I was doing all new and slightly challenging tasks that put me outside of my comfort zone (that’s not always a bad thing). But the co-op was definitely different than I expected. I ended up doing a lot of sales. That being said, I did grow as an individual and make a lot of great new friends and connections while I was there.
Too many sales tasks for a marketing/comms student. It’s not really our forte.
