I was part of a great team and was treated as full-time. Throughout the term I had the opportunity to acquire experience for existing skills and to learn new ones. The work involved software development with more than one project while adhering to Agile and continuous improvement practices. The fact that the projects were not all on the same platforms or using the same programming languages allowed for an even greater learning experience.
Had a great experience so can't think of a downside. Time went by quickly and unfortunately the term had to come to an end.
Keep up the good work. I appreciate the effort management demonstrated on making this a good experience and that they are continuously seeking to make it even better.
Great work culture and environment with a casual dress code. Weekly optional learning sessions with internal and external speakers on varied topics. There were team specific events, Software Studio wide events and Capital One wide events. Among these were opportunities for the teams and the co-ops to showcase their projects to other employees (executives included). The Fun Committee is always looking to organize fun activities such as Easter egg hunt and Foosball tournaments.
The work term was great and I felt valued. Capital One earned all its employer awards and rankings.
