You have the opportunity to learn a lot about day-to-day and business banking/finance that is helpful to apply to your own life even if you do not decide to continue in banking. It also gives great perspective on the power of lending and investing and how it creates opportunities or hardships for people depending on how they manage their money. You also meet a lot of wonderful people (both co-workers and customers)
Customer service can be very tough to deal with on a daily basis- people will not always be pleasent and happy with you even if their problem has nothing to do with you. A lot of time was also spent doing COVID screening at the front of the branch which isn't necessarily furthering your educational experience but it is a job that needed to be done.
Be ready to handle a lot of customer service and quick learning
